Guardian (or Gremlin) Bells protect you from the little evil spirits which wait next to the road and try to damage your bike.
They need to be mounted as low as possible because the evil spirits are so small.
The evil spirits are trapped in the bell and get mad from the bell´s ringing.
The only way for them to escape is down, so they hit the road with hard force - this is how potholes are made!
According to legend the bell´s power increases immensely when the bell is received as a gift from a friend or family member.
There is nothing wrong with buying one for yourself, but the power will not be as strong as when the bell gifted to you.
